UPDATE:
It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to postpone the upcoming training to the new year. Part of the hope of the training was to build a community of practice in and around the Fraser Valley for the upcoming municipal elections. However, we feel with the recent devastating floods that many people have more pressing issues that they will need to focus on.
We will develop some shorter training modules that people be able to access at their convenience over the coming weeks and months. Some of these modules will cover topics that we were going to address in the course next weekend. We will share these modules as they become available.
We will also send out details of the rescheduled course as soon as we set a date. We sincerely hope that you your family and friends are safe during these difficult times.

The next local government elections will be held Saturday October 15th, 2022. If you are planning to run, you better start now.
The Canadian Labour Congress and the Winch Institute are hosting an in person workshop for potential candidates from 10AM to 4PM on Saturday November 27th. The workshop will consist of panel discussions, presentations by experience campaign organizers and breakout groups with your fellow future candidates. The workshop will help you develop your Pre-Writ Campaign Plan to build your community profile, grow your campaign team and raise the money you need to win.
There will be a $20 fee for the course and lunch will be provided.
As per order of the Provincial Health Officer, proof of full vaccination is required to attend this indoor event. Mask will be worn and social distancing with be observed.
